Steve Mignardi serves as NACFE board chairman. Prior to his retirement, he was an executive at Daimler Truck North America (DTNA). In his extensive career at DTNA he held various roles including vice president/director field service for national accounts, vice president of on-highway market development, director of national accounts, district manager, fleet sales manager, director sales and service for Mercedes Benz Mexico and service training instructor for Freightliner of Canada. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management. As NACFE’s board chair, Mignardi leverages his extensive background to guide the organization’s strategic vision as the commercial vehicle industry navigates complex technological transformations.

Charotte Argue serves as NACFE board treasurer. She is senior manager of sustainable mobility at Geotab, the global leader in connected transportation. Argue focuses on data-driven solutions for fleet decarbonization and turning aggregated insights into guidance for industry stakeholders and decision-makers. She is a subject matter expert in fleet electrification and an advocate for connected vehicle technology and its role in advancing fleet sustainability and efficiency. Before joining Geotab, she oversaw the Plug In BC program at the Fraser Basin Council, managing green fleet initiatives across the province. She co-chairs both Electric Mobility Canada’s Medium- and Heavy-Duty Working Group and Women of EVs Canada and has served as a board member of NACFE since 2022.

William (Bill) Walmsley serves as NACFE board secretary. He is product category director for commercial truck tires at Michelin North America, where he leads product strategy and the product management team responsible for long-distance transportation tires and retreads across North America. His work focuses on delivering solutions that improve fleet efficiency, uptime and total cost of ownership. Walmsley has more than 25 years experience in the commercial vehicle industry with General Motors, Workhorse, Navistar, and Michelin.  His background spans engineering, sales, service, technical support, product planning and marketing and is based in Greenville, South Carolina.

Chris Avery is a senior commercial executive with Shell Lubricants Americas, leading the Commercial Road Transport business across North America.  With leadership experience spanning sales, finance, supply chain, logistics, and strategy, he drives growth through customer partnerships, commercial excellence, and operational execution. Avery joined the Board of Directors of NACFE in 2026 and is passionate about advancing freight efficiency and innovation across the transportation industry. Avery is based in Houston, Texas.

Ryan Bankerd is the global director of automotive sustainability at UPS, where he leads the decarbonization strategy for one of the world’s largest delivery fleets. Over a career spanning more than 25 years, he has designed and deployed sustainable fleet solutions across a shifting global regulatory landscape, with deep, hands-on expertise across the full spectrum of transportation energy — from human-powered to hydrogen — including biofuels, natural gas, battery electric, and fuel cell technologies. Bankerd serves on the boards of NACFE and Georgia Clean Cities and contributes to the American Trucking Associations’ Environmental & Energy Policy committee. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainability Management.

Leia Guccione is chief program officer at RMI, where she oversees the organization’s systems and sector programs, driving enterprise-wide strategy, integration, and impact. She also serves as managing director of RMI’s Transportation and US Buildings programs, leading efforts to accelerate electrification and transform transportation systems and the built environment to deliver an affordable, efficient, and pollution-free energy future. Her expertise spans utility transformation and innovation, equitable energy solutions for low-income and frontline communities, industrial decarbonization, distributed energy resources and microgrids, and stakeholder-centered market and policy design. Before joining RMI, Leia served in the US Navy as a nuclear-trained Surface Warfare Officer and continues to serve in the US Navy Reserves as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer.

Chris Hammond is executive vice president of industry affairs & strategic accounts at Great Dane. In this role he leads industry and government engagement, advancing strategic accounts and strengthening the company’s market position. Starting at Great Dane 33 years ago as a sales representative, he also has served as vice president dealer and international sales and executive vice president of sales. In addition, he is the chief executive officer at the Hammond for Hope Foundation, which expands access to communication, education, and opportunity for individuals who are deaf or hearing-impaired by supporting scholarships, early intervention programs, and community-based speech and hearing services.

Steve Hanson is senior director of fleet operations, engineering and sustainability at PepsiCo. During his 26 years with the company, he has held roles leading and supporting field, headquarters, and international teams. He has an established track record developing inventive and collaborative business strategies that deliver customer-focused solutions to improve critical business indicators. He has been recognized for transforming multiple teams to improve corporate profitability and productivity through setting a clear strategic vision and partnering with all stakeholders to deliver performance. Hanson is skilled in operations management, strategy development, continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, supplier negotiations, global business support, and business process improvement. He has a Bachelor of Science focused in Mechanical Engineering from University of the Pacific.

Matt McLelland is vice president of sustainability, innovation, and advanced technologies at Covenant Logistics, an integrated logistics provider with assets. In this leadership role, he focuses on decarbonizing Class 8 trucking, managing internal carbon reporting, evaluating advanced technologies like autonomous trucking, and partnering with startups on logistics solutions — all in service of shaping the company’s strategy to reduce both its own and its customers’ environmental impact.  Outside the office, McLelland spends his free time traveling with his family in their off-road Sprinter van, pursuing outdoor adventures like backcountry skiing, hang gliding, trail running, and mountain biking. This deep connection with the outdoors is largely what drives his passion for corporate sustainability. 

Caryn Paquette leads EV charging infrastructure programs at Prologis, with P&L accountability across fleet and workplace charging initiatives at Prologis logistics facilities. She is responsible for commercialization and end-to-end program delivery, partnering with engineering, development, procurement, operations, and other technical teams to evaluate solutions and translate customer requirements and operational data into scalable, revenue-generating infrastructure. Previously, Paquette served as Program Manager for Prologis Mobility’s Workplace Charging program, advancing passenger EV charging across North America. Her broader background is in municipal and land development engineering, with experience in infrastructure planning, design, and project delivery across western Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary and brings a practical, systems-oriented perspective to electrification at the intersection of freight, energy, and real estate.

Amanda Phillips, executive director, North American OEM On-Highway Engine Sales for Cummins, Inc., is the lead for commercial agreements and strategic relationships with all North America on-highway truck OEM customers. Phillips joined Cummins through the acquisition of Meritor in August 2022. She joined Meritor in October 2010 and has held various leadership positions in product line management, marketing, and sales. Phillips has dedicated her career to the North American commercial vehicle market, having also held other related positions with Daimler Trucks North America, General Motors, Isuzu Commercial Trucks and Allison Transmission. She is a graduate of Kettering University, formerly known as GMI Engineering & Management Institute, with a degree in business and industrial management.

Paul Rosa has been senior vice president of procurement and fleet planning for Penske Truck Leasing since 2014, responsible for all vehicle and non-vehicle purchasing activities, asset management, supplier relation, residuals management, fleet planning activities and replacement parts programs and for a company fleet of 493,000 vehicles. Rosa’s career at Penske has spanned four decades. He began his career as a management trainee and spent seven years in field operations. He then progressed to corporate roles of manager of consumer rental, quality black belt, quality master black belt, manager of commercial rental, director of vehicle planning and vice president of vehicle supply and planning.

Dan Symons is vice president of maintenance operations within Schneider, a premier provider of transportation, intermodal and logistics services. In this position Symons is responsible for the operational direction of Schneider’s 1000+ maintenance technicians as well as having responsibility for Schneider’s facilities management and maintenance. Symons has been with Schneider for more than 27 years. Prior to assuming his current role, Symons served as VP dedicated operations, global account general manager, regional maintenance director, director of customer service, senior box manager and transportation planning manager. Symons received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Northern Michigan University.

Gregory Treinen is vice president, on highway marketing and strategy for Daimler Truck North America (DTNA), where he is responsible for product roadmap and go-to-market strategy for Freightliner on-highway truck products and Detroit powertrain and safety products. His team is responsible for on-highway product strategy, product marketing and dealer training. Treinen joined the Daimler Truck family in 2002 and spent more than three years on the Economic and Trucking Intelligence team. During his time with DTNA, Treinen has held a number of managerial roles in the marketing organization, with more than a decade of experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple brands, products, market segments and emerging technologies. He led marketing and market development strategy for DTNA’s connected vehicle services and was instrumental in setting the vision for DTNA’s initial marketing communications efforts for e-mobility and autonomous trucking.
