Run on Less – Messy Middle Update

Run on Less – Messy Middle Update

We’ve completed site visits to 11 of the 13 fleets participating in Run on Less — Messy Middle and the remaining two are scheduled for later this month. We’ve talked to a lot of people and will have a great deal of interesting content to share with you when we post the first fleet profile on August 1st. Each fleet profile page will include information about the fleet, freight hauled on what routes, the truck being tracked and the driver. There also will be a video containing information from our site visits.

We will be posting a new fleet profile every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the month of August as a lead-in to the Run itself, which kicks off on September 8.

We completed our final Bootcamp session earlier this month. If you missed any of the sessions, you can find the recordings here. Thanks to all the speakers who shared their insights with us and to all of you attended the sessions.

We are hosting the last Bootcamp Workshop on Tuesday, July 15 at 1 ET. You can register here to join this interactive recap of key takeaways from the entire Bootcamp series.

Work is continuing to get the dashboard ready for the Sept. 8 start of the Run. It will contain many of the metrics we’ve tracked in past Run on Less demonstrations to provide context into the various duty cycles in which the trucks operate. These include total miles, speed and distance profiles, truck activity, weather conditions and an improved delivery estimate. We’ll also add some new metrics including an elevation profile, a route map with stops, and energy consumption to give greater context to the performance of the various trucks in this year’s Run.
